The position will manage the product lifecycle of Exterior Bed/Box protection accessories (Spray in Bed Liners, Drop in Bed Liners, Bed Mats, Splash Guards and other exterior ornamentation… (as well as other potential accessories that could be exterior or interior). Project management skills are necessary to be successful in the primary role. The role will champion processes for Global Programs.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
- Design, Develop, Release and Test exterior Bed/Box protection products for production (in plant and/or Mod-Center) and dealer accessory programs
Design, Develop, Release and Validate other potential exterior or interior products as requested by marketing.
Investigate and develop ideas for new product offerings
Maintain all existing Bex/Box protection solutions & accessories for all platforms – creating and maintaining all bill of materials for all vehicle lines for each commodity
Support compliance to Ford requirements, DVP&Rs, FMEAs, and sign-off as required
Support Dealer Service questions on Bed/Box protection accessories.
Interface with planning, program management, vehicle programs and other teams.
Support program PMT meetings and Engineering meetings for all Bed/Box protection products.
Work with Supplier and/or FEDE Core team in support of Bed/Box Protection documents, design rules, Requirements, and Foundation Documents (Boundary Diagrams, Interface Listings, P-Diagrams, DFMEA’s, Robustness Check Lists, SCCAF
Perform and document Model Year Carryover Assessment’s for Bed/Box protection Products using Team Center, TcVis Mockup, WERS, WOW, PDO, iPDL, Catia , 3DX
Develop and coordinate Instruction Sheets for Dealer installation of our Genuine Ford Accessories. The Instruction Sheet development will require in-depth development with Team Center, TcVis Mockup, and Power Point
Coordinate Instruction Sheet Validation Fit-up with local team members. Support and order the Fitment parts in GPIRS_J. Follow and track the orders through the GPRIS_J payment process.
Coordinate and complete Cost, Feasibility, and Timing (CFT) for Bed/Box protection programs for all platforms. Required for Cost, Feasibility, and Timing is CAD package studies in Team Center and TcVis Mockup and/or 3DX, initial Excel Bill of Material, Preliminary Illustrated Bill of Material. Interface with PD Body Exterior Engineering for feasibility analysis and necessary provisions.

2+ years product design, familiarity with plastic manufacturing process and secondary assembly and manufacturing

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8 and ranges from $63,480-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
