Essential Responsibilities
Remain current with state of the art technical specialties for new product introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolution.
Support other GE businesses, supplier and internal/external customers.
Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in own technical specialty in order to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities.
Provide engineering design support within one's specialty, to teams working on performance, cost and quality initiatives.
Lead projects, programs and assignments while accomplishing cost, quality and schedules goals.
Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field or during the manufacturing processes.
Protect the intellectual Property rights of the Company.
Function as program manager when appropriate.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineering designers.
Develop and implement training modules as necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience working in technical specialty).
