Senior Technical Business Analyst

Purpose of the role

The Amadeus Innovation team develops distributed software and hardware across multiple airport processes for advanced passenger interaction. The technology involves a combination of edge, cloud and mobile technology, with associated hardware, machine learning and computer vision technology applied to highly dynamic airport environments. The team is looking for a passionate Technical Business Analyst to assist in designing and developing innovative biometrics solutions, in particular mobile biometric enrolment and back-end transactional database, interfacing and analytics functions.

As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge from very experienced colleagues be exposed to many exciting technologies.

Working in close collaboration with various product development & delivery teams, you will be responsible for gathering and defining business requirements /functional specification, solution designing, participating in SDLC and be an integral member to the development, integration and implementation of Amadeus's airport self-service solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Technical Knowledge
• Document end-to-end business flows of customer requirements that will assist software development teams                
• Build and manage relationships with key business product owners, and stakeholders for the continual service                    
• Gather requirements to meet business and customer operational needs          
• Lead transition from design to implementation, providing testing, support and guidance across the business                    
• Testing and implementation support                    
• Ensured the continuity of product offerings, testing and enhancements during transitioning to BAU

Business Knowledge
• Has good general knowledge of the business processes for the business area and how they relate to other business processes in the wider Amadeus systems.
• Advise customers regarding product possibilities, workarounds and possible enhancements on a large or complex functional area.
• Build an understanding of the relationships between work processes and the business - both within and beyond the horizons of the immediate team.
• Keep up to date with industry standards, product changes, developments and needs.
• Influence industry standards via business contacts and working groups.
• Actively grow knowledge of new business areas

Procedural Knowledge
• Ensure deliverables meet the required Amadeus quality standards.
• Effectively apply the required procedures and methodologies.
 

Skills Development
• Develop ability to solve complex problems.
• Demonstrate competence in own area, completing own role independently or with minimal supervision/ guidance.
• Continued development of technical capability.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience.

  • Understanding of Self Service solutions

  • Understanding of Airports/Airlines systems
