Position Summary

The Product Data Specialist owns the creation and maintenance of product master data within Oracle Fusion Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), ensuring enterprise product information is complete, accurate, and ready for downstream integration into SAP. This role is critical to successful new product launches and ongoing business operations because approved PLM data drives the creation and update of SKUs and related product data in SAP.


The role manages product data requests from multiple business channels.  The Product Data Specialist translates those inputs into accurate PLM records, manages approval workflows, and resolves rejected submissions through final approval and release.


Job Responsibilities
  • Review incoming requests and supporting documentation for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before initiating approval workflows.
  • Research and resolve rejected submissions, make required corrections, and resubmit changes until approval is achieved.
  • Monitor assigned work to meet established service level agreements while maintaining a strong first-pass approval rate and low rejection and rework rates.
  • Confirm that approved product data is successfully released for downstream integration into SAP and support issue resolution when data does not process as expected.
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve discrepancies, prevent downstream data quality issues, and maintain clear documentation and audit support for changes and approvals.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and scalability, and support related data governance initiatives, system testing, and projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with SAP and Oracle Fusion PLM, or comparable ERP and PLM platforms, highly encouraged.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in complex, highly specific data.
  • Ability to manage potentially dozens of requests and many product changes while meeting deadlines and service level expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, personal accountability, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Workfront or a similar work management platform preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems, product structures, and business processes quickly and work effectively in a process-driven environment where accuracy, consistency, and compliance are essential.
