The Role
Rapid7 seeks a highly motivated and inquisitive aspiring Product Data Analyst to join our product analytics team. About the Team
The Data Platform team is responsible for providing Rapid7 stakeholders with timely, credible, democratized and integrated data solutions to gain insights and scale the business. The Product Analytics function supports analytical tooling & processes, quality data models, and actionable metrics to empower Rapid7 Moose to make data-driven decisions and measure customer outcomes.
About the Role
The Product Analytics team is growing as we help accelerate the business in close partnership with our product teams. We are seeking an aspiring data analyst to flourish and grow within our team. The ideal candidate has a solid foundational understanding of data analysis and relational databases with a passion for sharing their knowledge and creating engaging training resources to educate others.
As a Product Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to partner with other members of the data team on broader data quality & governance initiatives. Specifically, your focus will be to:
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design & deliver action-oriented dashboards to support strategic company initiatives
  • Drive engagement with our analytics community at Rapid7 by sharing best practices, community resources, and creating engaging enablement material
  • Assist with onboarding users and other administration tasks in Tableau/Metabase
  • Assist with Tableau/Metabase office hours to support users across Rapid7

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:
  • BS in Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science or another quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a data-focused role is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with relational databases and business intelligence tooling - Tableau, Metabase, Snowflake & dbt preferred
  • Excited by technology, curious and eager to learn
  • The attitude and ability to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment
  • Collaborative team player who has the ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
  • Strong creative problem solving skills
  • Solid communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills both within the team and cross functionally
  • Brings a customer-first mindset to engineering, and integrates customer impact into everyday decision making
