About the Role:
In this role you will work closely with the development team and suppliers to ensure that products are manufactured according to applicable specifications and GMPs that meet NSE quality requirements and applicable regulatory requirements. In addition, you will support specification development and verification and validation activities.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers to ensure quality and compliance in product development, manufacturing, and assembly.
- Evaluate and approve specifications, ensuring alignment with Nu Skin and regulatory requirements.
- Support NSE specification owners define quality attributes and acceptance criteria for NSE products and materials; and ensure quality requirements are effectively addressed.
- Participate in supplier audits and production startups.
- Collect, analyze, and report quality data to address trends, identify potential problems, and determine the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate quality issues and respond quickly and effectively to internal/external stakeholders, drive resolution of product defects with a holistic approach and consideration of the Global Value Stream.
- Audit, develop, improve, and align processes and procedures related to Nu Skin products.
What you'll need:
- We require at least two years of involvement with manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Four-year college degree required, science or technical discipline preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and influence at all levels of leadership, within international and cross-functional organizations, and our internal and external partners.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes/equipment.
- Extensive knowledge of one or more product types including dietary supplements, cosmetics, medical device, and or OTC.
- Extensive knowledge of the related regulations to one or more of the above product types.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
- Ability to understand and apply correct quality principles, such as root-cause analysis, CAPA, non-conformance, etc.
- Understanding of statistical process/quality control methods
- Ability to develop, audit, revise, and align Standard Operating Procedures and related documentation.
- Working knowledge of quality and inventory management software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- Proven ability to innovate change to improve efficiency and alignment across quality systems.
- Ability to travel on short notice, if needed, both domestically and internationally.
