Overview of the Role:
The Product Compliance Associate position is responsible for supporting product compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. Supports efforts to assure that products comply with organizational specifications.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- Process state registration renewals - including pesticide, fertilizer, and feed
- Monitor and assist with the product registration discontinuance cycle
- Resolve product compliance (stop sales) & transportation compliance issues (restrictions, NOA/import assistance)
- Monitor/update state/provincial/federal restrictions and item setups in SAP
- Create and file applicable regulatory reports (tonnage, mill assessment, incident)
- Create, file and track new state registration applications - including pesticide, fertilizer, and feed
- Review product labels for compliance prior to final printing
- Maintain Product SDS database
- Input Regulatory Data into WERCS, Smarting Sorting and other databases for customers
- Monitor and respond to appropriate state, provincial, international, federal regulations
- Record keeping and database administration.
- Other duties as assigned
Successful Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 1-3 years’ work experience dealing with product registration and compliance is required.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: EPA pesticides, hazardous materials, HAZMAT, OSHA.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills in a deadline driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
