Job Summary

The Product Code Specialist is responsible for knowing product code guidelines, setting up, updating, and auditing product codes and performs various administrative functions to provide support to the department/plant. We are looking for someone with the desire to master these subject areas and potentially become a leader for the team who can share knowledge confidently with other company departments when needed. Works under moderate supervision; encouraged to ask questions and retain answers for future reference; job functions require exercising independent judgment to ensure compliance to complex guidelines and best practices while producing time-sensitive output. Willingness to adjust schedule to service Central, Mountain, and Pacific time zones as needed is ideal.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and conducts necessary research, resolves administrative issues, and other potential problems or opportunities regarding product codes

  • Comprehend and enforces the product code guidelines

  • Ability to understand and identify the company segment intricacies

  • Processes and creates all product codes for the company

  • Troubleshoots any problems within area of responsibility

  • Prepares and assists Sr. Product Code Analyst with reports as requested by management

  • Assist Sr. Product Code Analyst with various projects

  • Train incoming team members and other qualified employees from different departments

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
