As Product & Application Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the global product and application marketing strategy. You will derive a tailored marketing plan for the responsible business unit and customer segment, including the definition of "Where to Play" and "How to Win," market research, and budget planning. Your focus will be on high-impact topics that align with the overall business strategy to further strengthen and grow the core business..
Your role

Develop and implement global, application-specific strategies for responsible customer segments and new products in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders

Ensure continuous communication and awareness of application-related topics within the business unit according to an annual communication plan

Collaborate closely with other content marketers and external agencies to promote application-driven communication across all product lines

Create and execute global product marketing campaigns with a strong customer-centric focus, providing tools for global sales and service centers

Develop industry-leading marketing materials and campaigns targeting new customer segments to ensure application-driven communication

Drive the internal implementation of a customer-centric approach within the marketing organization and engage in regular cross-functional collaboration with national and international marketing teams to optimize processes
Your profile
-
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Product Marketing, or related fields

Relevant experience in application-based marketing or product communication for technical products, demonstrating expertise in designing and managing global, customer-centric marketing campaigns

Proven ability to execute successful global marketing campaigns in B2B markets

Strong understanding of complex topics and the ability to create engaging content that aligns with ZEISS brand guidelines

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, standard project management tools (e.g., Kanban boards, Jira), and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud)

Excellent organizational skills, strong decision-making abilities, hands-on mentality, basic stakeholder management capabilities, and a collaborative team spirit; fluency in Business English and German, both written and spoken; willingness to travel up to 20%
