Role purpose:
The Product Analyst is responsible for analysing and optimising fintech products to meet customer needs and business goals. This role involves gathering and interpreting data, conducting market research, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support product development. The role will also be tasked with developing and maintaining financial planning calculators. The Product Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that products align with industry trends and customer expectations while driving business growth. Financial Modelling and Projections: Maintain, enhance and adjust financial planning modelling and cash flow tools.

Product research and analysis: Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to provide actionable insights for product development and improvement.

Data-driven decision making: Interpret product performance data and customer feedback to inform product roadmaps and prioritisation of features.

Requirement gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document product requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Support product development: Work closely with product managers and development teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and user stories.

Monitor product performance: Track and analyse product metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimisation.

Market opportunity identification: Evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and technological advancements to recommend product enhancements or new product ideas.

Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a liaison between product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and iterations.

Customer feedback analysis: Regularly review customer feedback and support team inputs to drive improvements and address pain points.

Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.(required)

3+ years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, or a related role in the fintech or technology industry. (required)

Experience in fintech or financial services industry, specifically Financial Planning/Advice

Financial Planning Certification - Post Graduate degree in Financial planning or similar (required)

Proficiency in data analysis tools (required)

Experience with agile product development methodologies (preferred)

Certification in Business Analysis (preferred)

Advanced Excel Proficiency: Demonstrates extensive experience and expertise in Excel, utilising advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation tools to analyse and interpret product data efficiently
