About the team and position
Join Carvana's Verification Technology team as a Product Analyst and be at the forefront of innovation. The Verification Technology team owns both the customer-facing website and internal operations-facing tooling that enables reviewing and approving vehicle orders prior to delivery. We are on the hunt for a passionate professional ready to dive in and work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations. In this role, you'll not only evaluate the performance of cutting-edge product features and ensure system health but also drive the discovery of business opportunities through your sharp analytical insights. With a special emphasis on harnessing the power of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), you'll be a key player in revolutionizing our manual verification processes, making your mark on this transformative journey.
What you’ll be doing
- Diving into large datasets to monitor system health, measure product performance, and identify and explain key drivers.
- Translating complex data into clear, actionable narratives; regularly updating stakeholders, including senior leadership, with insights and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to evaluate performance and identify, prioritize, and capitalize on opportunities, including innovative AI automation initiatives.
- Designing and interpreting split tests, communicating broader implications to drive strategic decisions.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What you should have
- A quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Finance, Economics) with a strong academic record.
- Solid foundation in mathematics and statistics, with a preference for outstanding coursework.
- Proficiency in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, STATA).
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL.
- Strong data visualization skills with experience in Tableau or Power BI preferred.
- High intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn new concepts and delve deep into data.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to take on new challenges; exhibits a proactive approach.
- Excellent team collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
