Role & Responsibilities

As a Product Analyst at Elemica, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business users and technical teams for our Supplier Order Orchestration and Customer & Supplier Collaboration solutions – the products that automate procure-to-pay, vendor-managed inventory (VMI), and forecast collaboration workflows between Elemica’s clients and their trading partners. Your expertise will guide the design of business requirements, incorporating best practices, process enhancements, and data analysis to drive product excellence.

At Elemica, product analysts are part of our Product organization, reporting through our Chief Product Officer. What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Prioritization

  • Perform analysis to assess the need for requested changes to Supplier Order Orchestration and Customer/Supplier Collaboration solutions and their impact on strategic business outcomes and company OKRs
  • Work closely with Product Manager to determine what to prioritize, balancing development team capacity against urgency, productivity, and commercial needs
  • Break down product features into epics, user stories, subtasks, improvements, and spikes in the product backlog and prioritize the product backlog to facilitate sprint planning and release delivery
  • Develop detailed requirements and acceptance criteria to guide the development process
  • Research and analyze client and market data – via customer discussions, surveys, and market research – to influence future product priorities, roadmap, and strategy
  • Investigate new feature requirements and perform competitive analysis of purchase order management, collaboration, VMI, and forecast collaboration solutions

Sprint & Release Execution

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date tickets and backlog hygiene, modeling responsible development practices for the team
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of recommended changes through cost/benefit analysis and business case documentation
  • Monitor development activities against release plans, and review and compose sprint review materials and sprint documentation
  • Perform release communication for quarterly releases – describing new features, creating marketing and training documentation, and coordinating distribution and notifications

Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Create technical documentation on existing and new products/features to enable professional services, customer support, and sales teams
  • Coordinate with development and solution architects to build standard and customer-specific demonstrations of Supplier Order Orchestration and Customer/Supplier Collaboration solutions
  • Provide development with use cases for new features and collaborate with developers throughout the development cycle
  • Understand and support the transfer of activities between Presales and Professional Services to ensure seamless delivery for clients
  • Build team camaraderie across multiple business units through strong communication and regular touchpoints

Data & Product Analytics

  • Construct current, future, and visionary state process flow charts
  • Estimate the potential impact of a proposed feature before it's built, and evaluate whether a launched feature delivered results after the fact
  • Monitor product usage trends, drop-off points, and feature adoption using analytics and embedded tools like Pendo to guide ongoing product decisions

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as a SaaS software product analyst, or equivalent academic background in engineering, supply chain, or a related field
  • Analysis experience using spreadsheets and database query languages
  • Experience with business needs assessment, requirement negotiation, and user story creation
  • Strong prioritization skills with an eye toward business and customer impact
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with agile teams
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Proficient in using Jira, Confluence, and Pendo
  • Passion for understanding customer behavior and driving product excellence
  • Naturally curious, self-starter, eager to grow and learn
Domain & Functional Expertise
  • Functional knowledge of supply chain order management, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, or vendor-managed inventory (VMI) / forecast collaboration processes
  • Understanding of B2B multi-enterprise supply chain networks and trading partner integration (EDI, API, or similar)
  • Functional knowledge of ERP order fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or procurement
  • Experience with ERP master data integration, harmonization, and validation to support order management processing is a plus
  • Mathematical modeling experience is a strong plus, especially in transportation planning and scheduling, MRP II, demand-driven MRP, or distribution planning
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA order management workflows and integration
  • Experience with EDI and trading partner onboarding
  • Prior experience building enterprise B2B software
  • Experience at a private-equity-backed growth company
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a comparable field required; Master’s degree a plus
  • Academic coursework in supply chain management, systems engineering, or operations research is a plus
Logistics
  • This position may require as much as 15% travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe.
