The Boston-based Home Product team is seeking a self-motivated and creative intern with a strong desire to leverage their analytical skills to help solve practical business problems.
Responsibilities
- Gain valuable business knowledge in a fast-paced insurance industry through hands-on training and onboarding
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to perform business analyses to identify, test, and inform critical business decisions
- Evaluate the company’s competitive position through research and analysis of competitive intelligence reports
- Assist with developing business and underwriting strategies
- Work independently as well as collaborate with and learn from team members on various projects
- Participate in cross-functional project team representing Product
- Have opportunities to present to senior management
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Prior Insurance or Casualty Experienced preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of intellectual curiosity
- Previous co-op/internship experience preferred
- Some knowledge of data analytics tools – Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
