Reporting to the Manager, Product, the Product Analyst III will support the Payment Accuracy team while collaborating with a scrum team to support the capabilities and features of our Payment Accuracy product. The ideal candidate has a technical background in data analytics, data modeling, and driving data-driven decisions. The Product Analyst III will proactively look at data within our product and across Availity and use it to drive strategic insights into the capabilities we want to build.

To be qualified for this position, you:

  • Have a minimum of 3 – 5 years related experience in Product, Business System Analyst, or Data Analyst role within the healthcare space.

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in lieu of degree.

  • Have experience gathering and developing functional and technical requirements.

  • Have strong expertise on data analytics and data modeling. You have worked with an analytics product and can drive business insights and decisions through data.

  • Highly proficient and skilled with SQL and/or Python.

  • Have experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Are highly proficient in Excel.

  • Have excellent communication - be able to speak on both a business and technical level and interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Have Jira/Rally, Confluence experience.

  • Have experience working in an Agile environment.

What you will be doing: 

  • Providing Strategic Insights: Proactively conduct independent research to provide strategic recommendations that align with the Availity Payment Accuracy strategy, including identifying strengths/weaknesses and analyzing customer needs to inform the roadmap.

  • Data Analysis: Understanding data workflows, analyzing complex data within the Payment Accuracy product and using it to inform decision-making. Using statistical tools to interpret data sets and identify trends or patterns.

  • Requirements Gathering: Gathering and analyzing complex business/functional/technical requirements and supporting the development of use cases.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with technology and other product teams to research, interpret, define, and document solutions for new and existing products, new features, and support issues. Collaborating with scrum team on daily activities to clarify requirements, answer questions, remove barriers.

  • Business Intelligence: Utilizing analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) for data manipulation and visualization.
