Who You'll Work With:

The Product Analyst will work closely with the Custom Defined Contribution (DC) Product Director and DC Business Development Team members of the Multi-Asset Solutions investment group, and the US institutional sales team to help drive the growth of AllianceBernstein's $75B+ custom defined contribution business. The individual will be focused on supporting the product management and customization of AB's custom target-date and lifetime income offerings.

What You'll Do:

The Product Analyst's primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop product-related collateral for AB's custom target-date offerings, including our investment process and philosophy, portfolio positioning, and operations
  • Complete recurring updates to product servicing materials including consultant and plan sponsor presentations, pricing database and reporting as needed
  • Catalogue and analyze competitor solutions, helping to position our solutions accordingly for the broader team
  • Assemble and update presentations for new business opportunities and customize them as needed for prospective meetings
  • Research and prepare responses to ad-hoc requests from the institutional sales team, or other client-facing professionals
  • Execute deliverables for fiduciary service for insurer selection and monitoring associated with managing insurer bidding process for Lifetime Income Strategy clients
  • Analyze and draw conclusions from existing client data for use with external reporting and in generating compelling conclusions for use during the sales process
  • Develop an efficient process to organize and track the sales prospecting effort for our services
  • Provide internal support for Lifetime Income Strategy services such as dedicated call center and participant-facing web site

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 2-5 years of financial services experience with defined contribution plan familiarity
  • Working-level understanding of target-date funds and various Qualified Default Investment Alternatives. Working knowledge of annuities is a plus.
  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills. Attention to detail is exceptionally important
  • Strong verbal and writing skills. Creativity and a marketing "sense" is a distinct plus
  • Comfort working with large data sets and using Excel properly to analyze and organize the data before drawing conclusions
  • Must be a direct "do-er" of work, not a "delegator" or "coordinator" of work done by others
  • Effective time management and data management skills
  • Strong project management skills. Experience working under both tight deadlines and undefined deadlines. Must be able to define milestones for projects without strict deadlines and stick to them
  • A track record of making time for self-development in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to collaborate well with fellow Product Team members and other colleagues

Required Skills

  • BA/BS in Finance or related field
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong quantitative orientation. Working knowledge of SQL or VBA a plus.
  • Some work experience in financial industry

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
