TV Producer

This role requires passion for news and culture of Mexico and the Central American Region, agility in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in new technologies and digi-friendly stories. The successful candidate needs a high level of English both written and spoken. With a focus on innovative storytelling, the successful candidate will be a self-starter skilled in producing and creating standout content for a diverse global audience.

About the Role

As a  a TV PRODUCER you will:

• Identify news stories and interesting story angles, coordinating crews in across Mexico and Central America
• Process daily content, editing and script writing stories
• Provide creative storytelling ideas
• React quickly to breaking news
• Demonstrate your enthusiasm for Mexico and Central America’s  news and culture to infuse stories with local flavour
• Tackle stories from a diversity of viewpoints, experiences, and perspectives.

About You

To be our TV PRODUCER, you will likely have:

• Excellent news judgement and a passion to deliver stories to our clients
• Be calm under pressure and enthusiastic. Grit, the ability to think on your feet and deliver despite challenging conditions
• Eagerness to participate in planning and organisation of news stories
• Strong team player, able to collaborate with text and photos across multiple offices
• Creativity – that special touch that can make our story telling stand out
• Bilingual level of spoken and written English,
• Ability to write scripts with a high level of English
• Ability to use a video camera is a bonus but not a must have
