IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a producer and editor of video to join our growing team. As part of our mighty in-house video team, you’ll play an essential role in our mission to make education and educational experiences better for everyone. In this role, you will help lead the creation of best-in-class video experiences across our brands, including IXL, Rosetta Stone and TPT. From producing customer testimonials, product ads, how-to videos, to supporting creative campaigns and more, you will take a hands-on approach and own the entire production process. Your passion for storytelling and a team-first mentality—along with your impressive post-production chops—will successfully address our high-reaching marketing goals.
This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- As a producer and editor, you’ll develop creative video strategies to engage our audiences across platforms and execute projects of all sizes from pre-production and filming through post-production and delivery
- Champion fresh ideas for video content that prioritizes storytelling, performance and fresh visual styles, as well as elevates our brand presence and speaks to our core values
- Source and steer video opportunities with cross-functional teams at IXL as well as customers
- Oversee the work of external talent and video/audio professionals
- Be the liaison between the Video Production Manager, Product Managers, Digital Marketers and more
- Work closely with the video team on maintaining and improving our video standards, asset libraries, collaboration playbooks and establishing new production capabilities as we scale our video marketing efforts
- Opportunities to shoot and edit video content yourself
- Capture clean screen recordings that present our products in the best light
- BA/BS degree
- 8+ years of professional video production experience as both a producer and editor crafting narratives that resonate and inspire
- Skilled collaborator and self-starter who thrives in team environments, communicates clearly and manages projects of all scopes with care and efficiency
- Technically proficient across the Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced expertise in Premiere Pro and a strong working knowledge of After Effects, Audition and Photoshop
- Strong pre through post-production skills, including ideation, project scoping, storyboarding, directing, lighting, camerawork, audio, pacing, and motion graphics
- Problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation, high standards for quality and a continuous drive to learn and grow
- Experience in the education, edtech, or language learning spaces is a plus
- Experience with motion graphics is a plus
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $130,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
