As a Tactical Capacity Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and developing Tactical Capacity Engineers to provide accurate and timely short-term capacity through analysis and communication. Oversee the capacity heatmap, identify and communicate opportunity for performance to plan gap improvement, and proposing maxout directions of capacity opportunities. You will also need to work closely with various departments in aligning capacity business rule, leading maxout project, and setting up capacity report and indices.
In performing this role, you need to have both industrial engineering and manufacturing science concepts to manage the team well, accountable for more precisely:
- Benchmarking work with SMAI and partner Fabs to understand and close the gaps in workstation performance to meet external benchmark levels Drive areas to close gaps in performance of tools within a workstation through OEE benchmarking
- Data analysis understand Micron data structure and be able to manipulate, and retrieve data effectively using Structured Query Language Understand relational database models and normalization
- Be able to create representations of complex real-world data structures analyze raw data through statistical data analysis tools Make data driven decisions and recommendations to customer groups through decision analysis tools
- Provide correctly and promptly capacity planning visibility for Manufacturing Team by using static and dynamic models Identify opportunities to maximize tool utilization and minimize cycle time
- Coordinate the business process as it relates to both internal and external groups while continuing to improve the process
- Supervise the capacity audit process and ensure that the data in the capacity heatmap is accurate and represents the true current and future capabilities of the Fab
- Communicate with both ME/IE to make sure that all capacity changes are accurately reflected in each model
- Develop, communicate and manage performance goals with personnel and the HVM managers
