The Product Support Specialist serves as a key resource for internal teams, Territory Managers, and customers by providing timely and accurate support related to product availability, specifications, scheduling, substitutions, and inventory inquiries. This role leverages proprietary U.S. Foods systems and procurement tools to resolve questions, coordinate product samples, identify inventory solutions, and support sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and analytical, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an onsite Monday through Friday position offering a competitive hourly rate of $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.Act as the central point of contact for all internal inquiries related to product specifications, availability, scheduling, and substitutions.
Respond to customer and Territory Manager inquiries in a timely and professional manner via phone, email, text, or other communication channels by resolving issues directly or escalating to the appropriate internal teams or external vendors as needed.
Utilize proprietary U.S. Foods systems and tools to efficiently and accurately answer customer and sales-related questions.
Coordinate product sample requests in accordance with company policy to support customer needs and sales initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge and resources to effectively provide guidance on:
- Product Availability
- Delivery Schedules
- Broker Contacts and Line Information
- Product Information and Specifications
- Product Selection Recommendations
- Product Substitutions
Prioritize requests based on urgency, customer needs, and business impact.
Research inventory and identify currently stocked products utilizing internal systems, including PRISM and related inventory management tools.
Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge, including specifications, pack sizes, descriptions, portions, and comparable substitution options.
Complete initial and ongoing certification requirements for PRISM and ASYS procurement systems.
Maintain accurate documentation and communication records while ensuring exceptional customer service and internal support.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Related Experience:
Minimum of four (4) years of purchasing, merchandising, sales, customer service, procurement, or related experience required, preferably within a foodservice distribution environment. Previous U.S. Foods experience and PRISM system experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

This position is primarily office-based and requires regular onsite attendance Monday through Friday. The role involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, suppliers, brokers, and sales teams to support operational and customer service objectives. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
