The Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine LATAM Procurement organization strives to deliver an exceptional patient experience by fueling growth and good, through great business and supplier relationships.
Within the Johnson & Johnson IM Procurement organization, the LATAM Agile Procurement Team is responsible for developing and implementing solutions to establish a world class supplier base that meets J&J business needs in terms of quality, reliability, cost competitiveness and access to innovation to boost growth, keeping up with the accelerated business rhythm.
Reporting to the Director, LATAM Procurement Agile Team, the J&J IM Agile Sourcing Associate will be responsible for leading and/or supporting local initiatives representing the cross-category J&J IM Procurement organization as Procurement point-of-contact.
The J&J IM Agile Sourcing Associate’s areas of responsibilities include:
- Engage in strategic business conversations with top leaders in Brazil and in Colombia (Managing Director, CFO Sr. Director, Commercial Sr. Directors, MAF Director, Commercial Excellence Director, among others) to align business priorities with Procurement’s.
- Develop tactical and operational plans to achieve the delivery of business needs and procurement functional and category strategies and communicates plans to business stakeholders.
- Manage business engagement strategies to ensure key performance indicators are met. Resolve issues and concerns and communicate risks and progress updates to all stakeholders.
- Implement procurement programs for business stakeholders, including change management, communication strategy, and business process improvement initiatives.
- Lead and/or support Procurement major projects and portfolio initiatives based on Global priorities. Including but not limited to: Sustainability Initiative, Supplier SRM, Innovation (SEI), 1Bn Program, etc.
- Lead and/or support sourcing events, aligning scope, deliverables, timeline, and R&Rs with the teams. Sourcing event planning, execution, milestone reporting and stakeholder management in line with Procurement policies and standards.
- Assist with the development of supplier integration plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position.
- Direct operations of supplier relationship management activities and provides feedback for continuous process improvement. Coordinates ongoing evaluations that focus on assessing quality, risks, and financial stability of current and new suppliers.
- Responsible for contributing to the overall LATAM Agile Procurement team operational aspects (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to achieve the business needs and procurement functional and category strategies.
Required Minimum Education: BA/BSc Degree
Required Years of Related Experience: 4-6 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
(Include any required computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
- Computer skills – MS Office, eMarketplace / Ariba / SAP, Planner, Power BI, tableaus, Planisware.
- Languages – Fluent in English and in Spanish (written and spoken) with excellent communication & negotiation skills (written and verbal).
- Prior work experience in Procurement or Sourcing environment with robust R2P E2E process understanding.
- Knowledge of healthcare service providers.
- Self-motivated with capability of working independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders without authority.
- Change management and process / continuous improvement expertise.
