About the Role
As a Procurement Specialist, your main focus will be to drive the Sales Market procurement strategy to secure an efficient, compliant, and future‑ready supplier base aligned with Global C&F standards. You lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance to ensure strong partnerships, consistent compliance, and cost‑efficient, high‑quality operations across markets.
This hybrid role reports into our Facilities & Procurement Manager and is based out of New York Support Office.
A Day in the Life
Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities*
- Build and communicate procurement strategies in your Sales Market, in close collaboration with the Global and Sales Market Construction & Facilities team
- Manage strategic governance of market agreements through constant follow-up and strategic meetings with major vendors
- Set necessary goals and KPI’s for procurement and supplier management
- Participate in developing and keeping procurement related audits and assessments (material and execution) up to date
- Secure sufficient partners to enable expansion, service delivery and optimize overall investment and cost levels
- Support and execute procurements together with Sales Market teams
- Manage procurement tools and templates (in LIMA and outside) such as the RFI/RFP templates and agreement templates
- Review, update and draft all general documentation to support the Sales Market C&F teams, in partnership with the Legal department
- Act as subject matter expert and support all parts of the organisation in procurement related matters
- Co-create procurement guidelines and ensure Sales Markets are up to speed with the latest requirements
- Educate Sales Market teams in the fields of procurement, supplier management and negotiations
- Work in close collaboration with Construction & Facilities teams in the Sales Market
- Represent your Sales Market in procurement forums and act as a speaking partner towards other functions
Who You Are:
- Degree in Law, Facility Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
- Procurement certifications are meriting
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills
- Excellent supplier management capabilities
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and methodical skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Advanced English level, both written and spoken
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in procurement or related functions
- Background in retail facility and/or construction management is meriting
- Proven experience in setting up and implementing procurement strategies
- Experience working in an international, matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and seniority levels
- You are communicative, supportive, and consultative, with an analytical and methodical approach. You are conscientious, resilient, and driven to deliver results while maintaining strong relationships and collaboration across functions

Compensation: Salary $132,560
