Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the efficient execution of purchasing functions across all Amcor sites. This position supports sourcing and procurement activities for indirect materials and services through global, national, and regional agreements, driving cost optimization and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute Local Procurement Strategies: Support implementation of local sourcing strategies, contracts, and supplier relationship management in alignment with Global Category Management guidelines.

  • Optimize Processes: Utilize and continuously improve requisition-to-payment workflows, ensuring compliance with global procurement standards.

  • Drive Sourcing Excellence: Manage sourcing and purchasing for indirect materials and services not covered by existing agreements, including unique or local requirements.

  • Lead RFQ Coordination: Oversee RFQ processes, analyze supplier proposals, and recommend solutions based on total cost of ownership.

  • Monitor Supplier Performance: Track pricing, quality, and delivery metrics; resolve supply chain issues promptly and effectively.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal stakeholders to select appropriate materials/services and ensure seamless procurement operations.

  • Identify Cost-Saving Opportunities: Evaluate and report cost reduction initiatives, sharing insights with global procurement teams.

  • Support Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process enhancements, automation, and lean initiatives to maintain uninterrupted material and service flow.

  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Build strong internal customer relationships through proactive engagement and service excellence.

  • Champion Innovation: Support technology-driven solutions that simplify processes and enhance the ease of doing business.

  • Participate in Projects: Engage in special projects and provide backup support for other procurement agents as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Education: Associate degree in a business-related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred:

  • Experience: Prior experience in procurement or supply chain.
