Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist in Ribbon China will be responsible for the Eastcom price list. Supporting HETC R&D activity, cost down target for mass production, and other tasks to save Ribbon expense.

This role requires a deep understanding of the production processes, ERP systems, and Enterprise applications technology.  The ideal candidate will have experience gathering complex production requirements and then identifying the correct channel for procurement of raw material, equipment and accessories to meet those requirements. Additionally, the ideal candidate must possess the self-motivation and drive necessary to manage complex relationships with suppliers not only in China but also worldwide.

Position Responsibilities

• This position will be a key part of the procurement team under PONET operation in China and will be responsible for:
• Primary interface between Eastcom and the supplier for all mass production needed raw material price-related information, and maintain the Eastcom price list.
• Always keep sourcing for better prices for cost-down purposes with quality assurance.
• Participate in the development of an R&D new project, and get manufacturing and supplier support.
• Work in ERP for issuing a PO to the supplier
• Coordinate with Ribbon China Financial for payment issues related to the supplier.
• Work in the Apex system to identify the raw material's best price together with the Israel procurement team
• In charge of commercial negotiations with suppliers not only in China but also worldwide.
• Sourcing for equipment and accessories for Ribbon China requisition.
• Calculating price based on BOM and agreement with EMS

Qualifications

• Good overall understanding of Ribbon NPT product
• Familiar with electronic components properties
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with emphasis on managing relationshipsl and time management capabilities
• Collaborative personality, with the interpersonal skills to manage, negotiate and effectively communicate priorities within the client group organization
• Intellectual curiosity and self-learning capability ownership

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronic-related majors
• More than two years’ work experience in electronic component procurement

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience in ERP system Oracel preferred
• Proficient in MS office tools especially EXCEL
• CET-6 certificate expected
