Job Description (information about role & responsibility)
- Lead the procurement process for indirect goods and services by selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company regulations.
- Work with the direct procurement team in SCM for selecting vendors and negotiating contracts.
- Create indirect purchase orders in SAP, update IPOs, send purchase orders to vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align them with organizational goals and budgetary constraints
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess market trends, and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance evaluations
- Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize efficiency and mitigate risks
- Provide regular updates and reports on procurement activities to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to procurement and incorporate relevant changes into procurement processes
Qualification (education, job experience, knowledge, personal attribute)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 7 years or more of proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field, with a focus on indirect/direct supplier management
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and industry trends
- SAP Experience
