POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Specialist supports day-to-day procurement activities and assists in the Procure-to-Pay process to ensure smooth, efficient operations. This role involves processing a high volume of purchase orders, change orders, credit returns, system training and support on issues, assisting with vendor communication, and working with accounts payable to resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders. The Specialist will assist in documenting and maintaining procurement procedures. The Specialist will work closely with resorts and other departments to ensure support is streamlined across all enterprise functions.
General Responsibilities

Performs various data validation, input, and management tasks in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage purchase orders, receiving, and other activities in the Procurement and Sourcing module.

Communicates with resort staff, shared services staff, and vendors to resolve order discrepancies, delivery issues, and general inquiries.

Manages the Procurement Department shared mailbox and calendar

Participate in User Acceptance Training (UAT) to complete compliance checks of system functionality.

Responsible for coordinating various meetings and essential communication between Shared Services, Resorts, and outside sources.

Maintains the Procurement department's public-facing website, ticketing system (FreshService), and internal file structure for easy end-user experience.

Provide administrative support to the procurement team for various projects, systems, or other procurement needs.

Continuously seek opportunities to identify areas of improvement, both systematically (D365) and within Team processes, as well as resort work streams.

COMPETENCIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED

Excellent analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, ERP Systems and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized, with extreme attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to variable workload.

Critical thinking and prioritization skills. This position will require self-direction on projects, including independent research with limited supervision.

Willingness to explore new opportunities, curiosity, and an aptitude to drive efficiency improvements.

Hybrid. Expectation is in-office 3 days per week.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years experience in a related field.

Internship or familiarity with working in a professional office setting is preferred but not required.
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base hourly pay range: $21.15 - $29.33 per hour
