Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will support Protein Procurement by leading research, implementing category strategies, resolving complex supply challenges, and building relationships with internal teams and external suppliers. You will perform detailed category analysis, forecasting, and reporting while collaborating across functions to identify process improvements and strategic opportunities.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and negotiations for assigned protein categories based on market conditions and business requirements.
- Develop category strategies informed by supply and demand, market dynamics, and cost drivers.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Support contract and position management using Excel, Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing software, RightAngle, Profitability and Performance Management, and other internal systems.
- Serve as the primary contact for contract management support across assigned areas.
- Identify and mitigate material supply risks in partnership with procurement category managers and cross-functional teams.
- Support Research and Development initiatives and manage inbound supply considerations for innovation projects.
- Implement enterprise procurement initiatives across assigned brands.
- Gather data and conduct risk-and-reward analyses for purchasing bids and specification change initiatives.
- Collaborate across functions to manage raw material inventories and minimize loss or obsolescence.
- Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and communicate changes in material costs and market drivers to stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier quality and service performance with internal customers.
- Champion corrective actions and quality improvement plans with facilities, Quality Assurance, Research and Development, and suppliers.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Finance.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with changing priorities.
- Project management and conflict management experience.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency.
- Experience using Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing software or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data relationships.
- Advanced PowerPoint presentation development skills.
- Experience working with Power Business Intelligence reporting.
- Experience supporting procurement digital initiatives.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and Copilot functionality.
- Minimal travel required.
- Availability to work in the office 3 days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation
Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
