KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 10
Develop and execute procurement plans in line with approved budgets, operational needs, and procurement policies.
Conduct sourcing and tendering activities by preparing, issuing, and managing RFQs, RFPs, and tenders in compliance with procedures.
Evaluate bids and proposals using approved criteria and prepare award recommendations to ensure transparency and value for money.
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders within delegated authority levels and approved procurement thresholds.
Source, prequalify, onboard, and manage suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, service, cost, and compliance requirements.
Maintain and monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions to address non-performance or service gaps.
Manage procurement contracts and service agreements by ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and timely renewals.
Ensure full compliance and audit readiness by maintaining complete procurement records and supporting internal and external audits.
Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives through market research, spend analysis, and supplier negotiations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and committees by providing procurement guidance, analysis, and recommendations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution
Professional procurement certification or Master's degree will be an added advantage
Master's degree will be added as advantage
Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement/Banking Operations
Strong understanding of procurement processes and Suppliers' relationship
Excellent planning, organization and report writing skills.
Excellent the ability to anticipate issues and to design appropriate solutions.
Excellent planning, organizing, problem solving and analytical skills.
A good understanding of strong risk management practices paying particular attention to operational, reputational, compliance and ethical risks.
