Opdenergy is now looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage procurement processes in Italy.


What will you help with


  • Manage procurement processes for local services related to the construction, grid connection, and operation and maintenance of renewable energy plants.
  • Identify, evaluate and develop relationships with qualified engineering service providers and technical suppliers.
  • Understand project requirements and translate them into appropriate procurement strategies and scopes of work.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, including the preparation of tender documentation and comparison of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, particularly Engineering, Construction, Project Management and Development teams, to define technical and commercial requirements.
  • Evaluate and compare supplier proposals, coordinating the technical and commercial assessment with the relevant internal teams.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and support the selection of the most suitable providers based on cost, quality, technical capabilities, schedule and project requirements.
  • Work closely with the Legal Department and internal stakeholders on the preparation, negotiation and execution of contracts and service agreements.
  • Manage the supplier qualification and onboarding process, ensuring compliance with internal procurement procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance, contractual conditions and delivery of services throughout the project execution phase.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and applicable project requirements.
  • Monitor procurement costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to the optimization of project procurement.
  • Maintain updated information on suppliers, market conditions, costs and availability of engineering and technical services.

Who you are


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably within the renewable energy, EPC, engineering or construction sectors.
  • Ideally 3 years of proven experience with SAP software.
  • Previous experience purchasing or contracting engineering, technical or professional services related to the execution of renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent negotiating skills and understanding of key contractual terms.
  • Written and spoken English proficiency. Spanish is a Plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (advanced in Excel is a must).
  • Experience in using procurement platforms.
