SUMMARY:
Developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships across functions to support all
aspects of Procurement in support of the manufacturing facility
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process all non-stock purchase requisitions for plant personnel for services, supplies
and repairs.
• Partner with Sales and operational leadership to ensure critical aspects of customer
expectations are met
• Procure materials, components and outside services in support of manufacturing of
medical device components
• Verify specifications and price and forward orders to suppliers for acknowledgment
• Support the R&D and Sales team on new development materials and quotes
• Manage open purchase orders backlog , expediting late purchase orders, closing of short
receipts
• Partner with warehouse and quality teams to resolve paperwork errors, or any other
issues within the receiving process involving suppliers
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Developing, maintaining and continuously improving an effective purchase process
• Maintaining appropriate safety stock levels to support the business and meet operational
objectives
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Business Administration or at least 3 to
5 years' experience in procurement
• Note: Relevant work experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain management
may be an adequate substitute for formal education.
• Experience with procurement in a regulated environment
• Computer skills required:
o Windows operating system in a networked environment
o Microsoft Office

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit and use hands.

• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually
moderate.
• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 25 pounds

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in procurement
  • Experience with procurement in a regulated environment
  • Computer skills in Windows and Microsoft Office
