Main Responsibilities

Create and implement end-to-end sourcing strategies for Ice Cream materials in line with Unilever’s portfolio & Collaborative Manufacturing strategies to deliver savings, innovations, and sustainability.

Support procurement strategy execution and reporting of all key initiatives into the relevant platforms, including cost-effective programs (5S/savings) initiatives, buying productivity & advantage, and Net Material Cost Impact mitigation.

Full contracting cycle for raw materials: from creation and administration of tenders to the negotiation and closure of contracts. Simultaneously, throughout the cycle, you must ensure you are buying competitively through rigorous cost model analysis, benchmarking, and execution of the relevant buying strategy.

Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with suppliers, ensuring products are delivered at agreed quality and service and with compliance to Unilever’s responsible sourcing policies.

Lead buying/supply resilience initiatives and co-drive specs optimization/sustainability projects with R&D.

Forecasting: Understand direct and indirect factors influencing supply, demand and prices as well as communicate a view of future markets trends to the business.

Continuously scan the market to benchmark Unilever’s performance vs. competitors.

Support category strategies and work closely with cross functional teams (Planning, Sourcing Unit, R&D and Marketing) to deliver key projects.

Handle other procurement-related day-to-day activities under his/her scope to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
Candidate Criteria
Experience & Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in any field

Prior minimum 1 year work experience would be an advantage
Skill

At least 1 year of experience across procurement operations and/or buying is preferred. However, we welcome candidates from any background who can demonstrate expertise in buying skills as well as understanding towards commodities markets, trends, and current affairs impacting global economy and trade.

Strong negotiation, communications, and stakeholders’ management skills are required.

Strong operational and project management acumen.

A self-starting, curious, and a quick learner and is capable to work under high-pace, high-pressure environment.

Experience in supplier development and source localization is preferred but not essential.

Good understanding and passion towards Sustainability, Regenerative Agriculture, supply chain knowledge, and processing technologies.

Digital and analytics knowledge, especially adept use in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other analytic tools e.g., Buyers Console.

Comfortable in using IT tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Aravo, DCIW (invoice management systems), iCAT (contract management systems), PowerApps, SRS (savings reporting tool), PLM (spec database), Velocity (vendor registration), etc.
