Procurement Specialist II is responsible for sourcing, bid conditioning, assuring technical compliance, commercially evaluating and awarding low to medium complexity procurement events associated with commodity materials, engineered equipment, subcontracts, and services.

Procurement Specialist II has the ability to negotiate low to medium contractual situations.

Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and purchasing of low to medium complexity and medium criticality events for commodity materials, engineered equipment, subcontracts, and site services.

  • Participation in Deal Development and support in Estimating’s efforts, including issuing Request for Information (RFI’s) and providing indicative quotations to the Estimating team.

  • Develop sourcing strategies, supplier lists for assigned items

  • Interface with Engineering, Construction and Start-up to gather appropriate technical documents for the RFP and, once the RFP is received, to ensure bids that are received are technically compliant.

  • Interface with vendors & suppliers to issue RFPs and respond to inquiries to develop a comprehensive evaluation of the supplier’s commercial offering.

  • Engage and maintain Supplier relationships on awarded contracts, communicate with key internal and external stakeholders on status updates, ensure the vendor is meeting their contractual obligations and maintain transparency on the purchase with the Project Management Team (PMT)

  • Support the analysis and execution of post-award change orders. 

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 - 12 months of related experience
  • Shall have the ability to work independently, think and plan ahead and bring issues to attention of management.  Ability to operate Microsoft suite.  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and provide accurate work products
  • Experience creating document templates and workflows in industry digital document approval platforms like DocuSign and Adobe Sign would be beneficial
  • Some travel may be necessary 25% or less (when required)

Skills Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 to 12 months of related procurement experience
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently, plan ahead, be detail oriented and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience creating document templates and workflows in digital document approval platforms (DocuSign, Adobe Sign)
  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 25% as needed
