Welcome to Procurement Operations! - an innovative team of professionals implementing the digital transformation of Source to Pay end-to-end process!  The Procurement Operations team works with different parts of global organization and has increased internal efficiency, promoting digitalization as well as ensuring compliance. What you will do

  • Proceed with on-time procurement (mainly MRO spare parts and services)

  • Collaborate with suppliers, strategic procurement, maintenance and the warehouse team

  • Ensure contract availability and compliance, order confirmations, claims handling and invoice verification

  • Manage buying channels

  • Support the effective implementation of new processes and digital solutions

  • Manage supplier relationships, work on their service improvement and ensure the agreed quality changes are applied

  • Ensure compliance with UPM internal controls, business rules, policies and legal requirements

  • Proactively identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance, and contribute to and participate in development projects

  • Ensure contract availability and compliance

Who you are  

  • You have at least a Bachelor’s degree or other relevant professional qualification in a related area

  • You have minimum 2 years of purchasing experience in a production environment

  • You have good knowledge of Office and SAP/IT systems (S/4 HANA)

  • You are fluent in English and German

  • You are experienced in working in a production environment

  • You understand certification requirements

  • You are solution-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and have effective collaboration, influencing, and team-working skills with a positive, and proactive attitude towards a changing environment

  • You have the ability and willingness to reach your own and the team’s targets within provided timelines, self-management skills, and are prepared to introduce new ideas and promote development

The position holder will report to Monika Wojda-Jędrzejek,Team Leader Procurement and Business Process Support.
