Job Description
- Setting long term commercial strategic direction for assigned Business Services categories.
- Influencing business and wider category stakeholders.
- Developing relationships with senior leadership.
- Developing a supply base to meet the changing requirements of the category.
- Leading supplier negotiations ensuring a framework for a strategic contractual relationship with limited risk.
- Providing subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, technical, legal & contractual issues.
- Defining governance around best practices and purchasing policies.
- Achieving assigned category targets for cost reductions.
- Implementing Global Category Strategies.
- Performing Supplier relationship management and reviews.
- Responsible for category spend, savings forecasting and reporting.
Must be open to support occasional evening work hours in support of North American business partners and suppliers
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business).
- 5+ years of Procurement Category Management or equivalent.
- Business acumen and experience is a plus.
- Strong experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects.
- Experience working in a large, complex, global business.
- Experience running RFx processes.
- Contract negotiations without much Legal guidance.
- Ability to support large/complex supplier deals, potentially including Hardware, Software, and Services integrated solutions.
- Ability to interact with and present to VP Levels.
- Core analytic skills to independently dive into an unclear area and make sense of it.
- Supplier and Customer oriented skills.
