The Procurement Sourcing and Engagement Manager is responsible for developing a strategic sourcing approach. This role is based in a service delivery center, supports the onshore procurement team, and involves leading a team of procurement specialists offshore.
This role includes:
• Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals
• Managing supplier contracts
• Implementing procurement policies and standards
• Ensuring processes and governance are in place to meet business objectives and operational requirements
Role and Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, coach, and develop the team
• Identify and develop strategies for high-value sourcing deals to support target savings and business requirements
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate procurement strategy compliance
• Review and negotiate supplier contracts to ensure commercial feasibility and optimization
• Manage high volumes of low value sourcing transactions, focusing on timely and accurate delivery
• Guide and train the team on procurement processes, negotiation, and deal finalization
• Coordinate and communicate with onshore sourcing managers for alignment and service quality
• Provide support across the end-to-end sourcing and procurement process, including supplier onboarding, risk mitigation, contract management, and purchasing
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, internal customers, and business partners
• Address stakeholder escalations and resolve issues efficiently
• Support the team in addressing challenges and identifying opportunities
• Build and maintain supplier relationships
• Contribute to business initiatives and projects, reviewing and communicating the impact on procurement activities
• Strengthen procurement practices and governance, ensuring compliance with policy and standards
• Respond to audit requirements and implement audit recommendations
This position reports directly to the Procurement Sourcing and Engagement Lead.
Qualificatios
• Bachelor’s degree in consulting, supply chain management, or business administration preferred
• At least 7 years of experience in sourcing/category management or equivalent relevant work in a shared services industry
• Experience with supply chain management software and tools such as Oracle, SAP Ariba, and Ivalua
• Background in Shared Services, Financial Services, or multinational environments is preferred
• Knowledge of contract drafting, review, and negotiation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access)
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strategic sourcing experience in both direct and indirect spend categories is an advantage
