Job Summary
Abacus Group, LLC is a leading global provider of managed IT, mutli-cloud and cybersecurity services to financial services clients. As the Sr. Director of Procurement you will lead and evolve our procurement function to build a “world-class VAR inside Abacus to serve Abacus clients”. Significantly, the scope of the Procurement team is expanding from hardware-only to include procuring and managing all client software licenses. You will be a key senior leader in a fast-paced, high-growth, investor-backed IT services company. You will report directly to the CFO. You will use your leadership skills and procurement experience to lead the evolution of our procurement function. You will collaborate cross-functionally, both internally and with clients. Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of hardware procurement and software procurement and license management for 700+ clients. Lead inventory management for physical inventory in 3 Abacus locations
- Lead implementation of software license management system, and integration of this system with Dynamics Business Central (billing), Salesforce (CRM) and ServiceNow (ITSM)
- Evaluate team members, reorganize and/or top-grade team as necessary
- Build scalable, reliable procurement processes in collaboration with other Abacus teams

- Track record of improving procurement by integrating people, systems & processes, and driving automation
- People leadership and strategic thinking skills
- Strong collaboration skills, especially with account management, billing, Sales Ops and DevOps teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexible – comfortable in a dynamic, rapidly-changing business environment
- Clear communicator with a focus on simplicity, accuracy, and accountability
Success in This Role Will Be Measured By
- Average response time from client request to completed order
- Procurement gross margin (hardware & software)
- Procurement CSAT
- % of client licenses managed by license management software
- Procurement revenue (gross) as a % of recurring revenue
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of professional experience, including 5-10 years in a procurement leadership role at an MSP or VAR
- Positive attitude and great people skills
- Experience at a managed service provider (MSP) or IT services firm is highly preferred
