Job Overview:
The Procurement Representative will provide category support and engage in Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing activity within the Equipment Category. This position will report to a Procurement Manager within the Operational Excellence organization. The strong performer can expect further career advancement with Ecolab and will have the opportunity to move into other procurement and supply chain leadership roles within the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Learn and apply Total Delivered Cost sourcing process tools and skills to execute sourcing initiatives
  • Working with Business partners, engage supplier organizations to evaluate tail spend equipment requests for pricing
  • Works with business sales to address questions & needs surrounding suppliers, markets, materials, and services, providing feedback on alternative suppliers as appropriate.
  • Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders
  • Engage with master data team to approve pricing changes as required
  • Escalates equipment requests to category manager based on volume and supplier mix
  • Manages processes critical to the efficient functioning of the procure-to-pay process
  • Communicates effectively with supply planning, business partners, or other appropriate functions on purchasing requests, ensuring compliance to SLA’s

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of experience in master data, procurement, shared services, finance, supply chain operations or related field.
  • Experience with managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Basic SAP knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving aptitude and analytical skills, with good attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or Finance.  Or in process of completing an advanced degree
  • Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills
  • Experience in SAP or other Source to Pay systems in a procurement or shared services environment
  • Experience in sourcing Direct Procurement or supply chain management experience
  • Experience in Procurement or Sourcing
  • Experience in equipment parts
  • Demonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievement
  • Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of experience in master data, procurement, shared services, finance, supply chain operations or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Basic SAP knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
