What You Will Do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve blocked invoices and ensure timely issue resolution across procurement processes.
  • Create and update training documents for internal stakeholders on existing procurement procedures.
  • Use data cleansing tools to audit procurement data, manage duplicate records, and maintain accurate vendor master data.
  • Collaborate with functions across the business to resolve supplier issues such as billing discrepancies and shipment conditions.
  • Monitor and report on compliance, invoice disputes, and procurement performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address errors, preventing recurrence and supporting continuous improvement.
  • Participate in automation and process improvement projects aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency.
  • Document procurement workflows and assist in the standardization of processes.
  • Support stakeholders across the procure-to-pay process, from purchase requisition/PO creation to issue resolution.
  • Assist with ESG reporting, gathering and reporting metrics to ensure alignment with the company's ESG strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of ESG governance strategies and process standardization.
  • Provide insights and research to enhance the ESG supplier strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Integrate sustainability and ESG principles into supplier evaluations, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of ESG initiatives and procurement processes.
  • Participate in special projects and stretch assignments, including supporting sustainability objectives in procurement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of sustainability initiatives such as carbon emissions reduction, modern slavery prevention, and supplier diversity.
  • Familiarity with supply chain engagement best practices and enabling technologies.
  • Experience supporting supplier due diligence, governance strategies, and procurement policies.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement operational and process efficiencies in procurement.

This role combines procurement expertise with a strong focus on sustainability and ESG, ensuring that procurement processes not only drive business value but also support ChampionX's broader environmental, social, and governance goals.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, or Procurement: Either an advanced degree or currently pursuing one.
  • Procurement Experience: Relevant procurement experience, whether gained from clients, contractors, or consulting organizations.
  • Knowledge of Responsible Sourcing Issues: Familiarity with key responsible sourcing areas, including human rights, environmental impact, health and safety, anti-bribery and corruption, labor practices, and other socio-economic considerations.
  • Understanding of ESG Legislation: Knowledge of ESG legislative and regulatory environments is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Independent and Autonomous: Confident and able to work independently without the need for constant supervision.
  • ERP System Experience: Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems in a procurement or shared services environment. Good IT skills and a strong interest in tools, systems, data, and numbers.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Results-Driven: Motivated and focused on achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
