The Role
Lead sourcing deliverables across product lifecycle from concept through NPI to serial production. Develop Product Acquisition and Acquisition Management Plans, drive make-or-buy decisions, own material cost roadmaps, secure on-time NPI material delivery, and coordinate supplier selection, contracting and procurement activities with category and operational buyers.
Summary Generated by Built In

Frencken is a high-tech development and assembly partner based in the heart of Brainport Eindhoven. We design, build, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for global OEMs in the semiconductor, healthcare, and analytical industries — combining high-precision mechanics, advanced motion control, and tailored machine assemblies into equipment that powers some of the world's most demanding technologies.

As Program/Project Procurement Lead (PPL), you own the sourcing deliverables for our customer products and projects across the full life cycle — from early concept through NPI to serial production. You translate business and customer needs into clear procurement strategies, then orchestrate category and operational buyers to deliver on cost, quality, and timing.

This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution: comfortable in a project team, sharp on numbers, and decisive when the supply chain throws curveballs.

What You'll Do:

  • Engage upstream with business and customer stakeholders to understand procurement needs from day one
  • Develop Product Acquisition Plans (PAPs) that align sourcing deliverables with business requirements
  • Build Acquisition Management Plans (AMPs) to monitor sourcing milestones throughout product creation
  • Challenge make-or-buy decisions with a rigorous, fact-based approach
  • Represent procurement in program and project teams — making sure our voice is at the table where it matters
  • Own the material cost roadmap for your assigned products or projects, and drive it forward
  • Secure on-time material delivery for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
  • Coordinate sourcing activities — supplier selection, purchase requests, contracting — in close partnership with category and operational buyers

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of project management experience within a procurement organization
  • Solid understanding of relevant supply markets: precision machining, mechatronic assemblies, raw materials, or surface treatment
  • Hands-on experience with MRP systems and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluent English and Dutch
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Nice-to-haves

  • Project management certification (IPMA, Prince2, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of German

Who You Are
You're collaborative but independent — persistent without being rigid. You can guide an operational buyer through a tough negotiation in the morning and align a cross-functional project team in the afternoon. You communicate clearly, delegate confidently, and plan with structure, keeping stakeholders aligned even when priorities compete.

What We Offer:
At Frencken, you'll find an informal, collaborative culture where every voice is heard and the work is genuinely interesting. You'll partner with international colleagues who share your enthusiasm for high-tech, on projects that shape the future of semiconductor, medical, and analytical equipment.

  • Competitive salary and excellent employment conditions
  • 27 vacation days + 13 ADV days
  • Bonus scheme
  • A clear path for professional development and growth
  • A workplace where technology, craft, and ambition meet

If you want to take ownership of procurement programs in an international high-tech environment and see the impact of your sourcing decisions in machines that ship around the world, we are happy to hear from you!
