Job Description
- Lead Planning logistics activities such as:
- Manages the team SAP planning standards and defined routines.
- Follow up on Supplier demand variation reports, backlogs, plan fluctuation, supply chain alerts, etc.
- Provides input and leadership on supply chain initiatives that directly influence business strategy.
- Data analysis for improvement potentials and determining root causes of suppliers deviations.
- Develops continuously EWS (Early Warning System) tools to his own area;
- Influences the team to effectively and consistently follow standards.
- Identify the need and secure the necessary resources/expertise to resolve supplier restrictions.
- Manage all procurement inventory levels and keep them within defined plant targets.
- Ensures implementation of process improvement concepts and solutions within procurement planning department.
- Builds & maintains relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
- Fosters an environment of transparency and open feedback, while incorporating that culture into decision making.
- Uses knowledge to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to accomplish LOG requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or similar discipline and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement Planning, Operations, or similar discipline. Master's level degree preferred but not required in the above fields.
- 3+ years in Logistics, Supply chain, Procurement planning, Production planning, Operations;
- SAP similar ERP system using logistics customer demand, procurement planning and production planning and inventory control methods (i.e. MRP)
- In depth knowledge / experience with MS office tools – excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.
