Job Description
fixed term contract (6 months)
The Procurement Marketing Buyer is responsible for the drafting and execution of the contract process within predefined thresholds and is expected to work effectively in general procurement aspects. The Buyer must understand the general mechanisms of contract and supplier management. Must have experience in drafting Statements of Work and working with suppliers for review and approval of contracts. The Buyer must have the ability to negotiate agreements and contracts and ensure best possible terms and conditions for Takeda, as well as ensure all suppliers are covered by active contracts, in cooperation with Category Managers and Global Legal. The Buyer must be able to prioritize assigned tasks (based on e.g. cost, timeline or complexity) and align these priorities with internal Global Procurement stakeholders. The Buyer is expected to deal with vendors and internal stakeholders, have a high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills and high quality of deliverables.

The Buyer is expected to:

  • Manage procurement projects and tasks (e.g. execute Work Orders under Takeda's MSA's) in the Procurement pipeline
  • Supporting procurement projects or leading them under supervision
    - Independently identify savings opportunities
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts and ensure best possible terms and conditions for Takeda, as well as ensure all suppliers are covered by active contracts, in cooperation with Category Managers and Global Legal
  • Be a trusted advisor for stakeholders in all the aspect of procurement
  • Ensure that day to day procurement decisions are taken according to the Procurement Policy


Professional competencies:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree;
  • Procurement expertise (regional and global markets understanding, procurement guidelines, supplier relationship management, risk management etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Procurement in the Marketing category (creative agency, digital agency, media, and brand promotion)
  • Pharma experience is preferred.
  • Experience with drafting Statements of Work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (any additional language is an advantage).
