About Woven by Toyota
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

TEAM

To ensure the success of the company, it is essential to maintain healthy relationships with our suppliers and grow together as mutually trusting partners. Global Procurement is the department responsible for supplier relationship management, overseeing the entire supply chain, and managing the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services. We work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support supplier selection, RFP/RFQ processes, negotiations, and contract execution, ensuring that procurement aligns with the goals of each team. Beyond day-to-day procurement activities, we also actively drive strategic initiatives such as spend analysis, process optimization, and system improvements. By continuously strengthening our relationships with suppliers, we aim to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and create sustainable value that positively impacts the entire organization.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a meaningful and lasting impact within the Global Procurement and Supply Chain team at Woven by Toyota.
As a Procurement Manager, you will proactively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders across global locations — from senior leadership to operational staff —to gain a deep understanding of on-the-ground challenges, and translate those insights into more agile processes while continuously driving supplier strategy improvements.
We welcome candidates who are passionate about leading global, cross-functional projects that leverage AI and cutting-edge technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance internal customer satisfaction, and foster a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen).
Furthermore, we are seeking individuals who deeply resonate with our fundamental belief in treating suppliers as equal partners — built on mutual trust and a shared commitment to growing together — and who can embody that philosophy in their day-to-day work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the business team to understand their needs and to define and manage a roadmap aligned with long‑term business strategies.

  • Lead the full RFP lifecycle, from requirements and issuance to evaluation, negotiation, award, and supplier onboarding.

  • Lead complex projects end‑to‑end, including testing, rollout, and post‑implementation reviews.

  • Drive automation across the procurement lifecycle using RPA and AI to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Utilize Power BI dashboards and reports to track spend and generate insights for sourcing and cost optimization.

  • Enhance compliance to adhere with regulations and internal policies to mitigate legal, financial, and operational risks.

  • Develop and deliver training to employees to strengthen negotiation, category management, and digital tool adoption.

  • Act as a liaison between procurement, finance, legal, and other teams to align on processes and policies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong academic record, with a Bachelor's degree or above from university or institutions.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.

  • Experience driving cross-functional projects.

  • Familiar with ERP and Procurement tools such as Oracle and SAP.

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.

  • Excellent stakeholder management at all levels across a diverse environment.

  • Understanding of at least Japanese regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience in business process mapping and technology roadmap development.

  • Hands-on experience with AI and automation technologies such as RPA.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience in change management, including the ability to influence company-wide process transformation, and design and deliver training programs.

  • Knowledge of procurement compliance and risk management.

  • Fundamental knowledge of relevant departments (e.g., Legal, Finance).
