Executive Summary
This role is responsible for leading a team of sourcing category and procurement specialist to execute supply chain strategies supporting business operations for China primary switchgear product group by optimizing costs, quality, and services from suppliers to meet business needs and deliver supply chain KPIs. Ensure execution in compliance with P2P policy and procedures
Major responsibilities:
- Lead primary switchgear procurement team to deliver KPIs including but not limited to, cost saving, cash improvement, fulfillment, supplier quality and sustainable supply chain
- Follow global & regional procurement guideline and procedure, and ensure compliance in all sourcing activities; responsible for supplier data maintenance and process optimization
- Lead/work with category managers to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies in line with business priorities, develop suppliers to meet current and future business requirements
- Responsible for sourcing activities for both direct and indirect materials and services in Primary SWG; support operation team to improve supply chain efficiency and achieve operation excellence.
- Drive cost reduction for new product development via supplier selection and supply chain optimization to achieve product target-cost and business objectives.
- Collaborate with technology, engineering and operation team to develop and implement cost out projects via supplier innovation, POD and process optimization to improve business profitability
- Responsible for supplier quality, manage supplier audit and qualification, continuously reduce cost of failure and improve supplier quality performance
- People development, provide training and coaching to procurement team
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or manufacturing related field and 5+ years managerial experience in operations or supply chain management in multinational companies
- Passionate and capable of challenging status quo and driving changes
- Experience in electrical power industry is preferred
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing operation environment, ability to manage complex projects
- Ability to identify opportunities, develop strategy and implement innovative solutions.
- Self-motivated, results driven, demonstrated leadership, and ability to take initiatives
- Fluent in English
- Travel is required
