Join us, the future is ours to shape!Primary role of the Procurement Manager is to provide cross-divisional category expertise for India, to proactively carry out continuous analyses, frequently re-align the local activities with the global category strategy as well as support the strategy execution in the assigned area. The role supports continuous improvement and leads implementation of global and regional category strategy in collaboration with the site/country/category teams. The role is also responsible for managing supplier relationship, contracting, market research, category and internal business data and information. Procurement Manager provides strategic sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, financial productivity and mitigation of risk. Ensures the delivery of measurable value for Sandoz, through alignment of business requirements, contributes to the organization's financial health competitive advantage.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Drive/Implement strategic goals from overall Procurement strategy
- Accountable for productivity and spend efficiency targets in Commercial, Corporate, Technology categories in India. Accountable for key compliance metrics and process compliance.
- Successful implementation of global, regional and local projects across functions, ensure key stakeholder alignment and business relevance
- Manage quality of the end-to-end Procurement process incl. compliance with policies, strategies and processes. Support seamless integration of capability centers into the end-to-end process.
Manage relationships with internal senior and executive stakeholders
- Serve as key contact for stakeholders in the Commercial, Corporate and Technology categories.
- Build effective relationships of mutual trust and understanding with stakeholders, country leadership team.
Manage supplier relationships
- Executing the Source-to-Contract process including respective strategies, approaches and methods: Preparing and conducting fact-based negotiations. Adapting tactics from a broad portfolio of negotiation strategies to achieve results that support business and Procurement objectives.
- Manage and build effective relationships with key suppliers in their area of responsibility to drive value for Sandoz through cost effectiveness and access to innovation.
- Ensure effective local implementation of global supplier strategies (e.g. implementation of strategic suppliers, contracting principles, execution of global/regional contracts).
- Manage local supplier landscape in line with business strategies & global Procurement goals and strategies (e.g. payment terms, manage tail spend, local supplier management process).
- Manage and build effective relationships with key suppliers in their area of responsibility to drive value for Sandoz through cost effectiveness and access to innovation and sustainability.

Ensure effective communication
- Ensure effective communication between the different Procurement functions, such as Operations, Capability centers, global/regional category management, compliance.
- Serve as the key contact for stakeholders in < and ensure that business needs/requirements are reflected in procurement activities.
Contracting activities
- Contract preparation, review and archiving with post signature contract management
- Full terms and conditions or contractual terms negotiation.
- Monitoring and identification of expiring contracts, initiating process for contract extension or competitive bidding. Termination strategy definition and contracts termination management.
- Suppliers’ performance review coordination for key local suppliers.
- University/Advanced degree is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, or similar; Master’s degree preferred.
- Additional qualifications (CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply), Project Management, etc.) or similar professional qualifications preferred.
- English (excellence in speaking and writing),
- additional Mandarin languages desirable.
Experience and Skills:
>4 years of procurement experience in large multinational organization, preferably pharmaceutical.
Experience in change management and leading through change.
Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and management.
Proven track record of delivering the saving target and bringing value add through procurement processes.
Proven experience in spend reporting, analysis and optimization.
Experience with eSourcing tools.
Good understanding of Procurement business processes such as Tactical Buying, Catalogue Management, Contract Management, Supplier Setup and Procurement Operations.
Excellent communication, people management, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
Ability to ensure service focus across a complex people intensive and functionally dispersed organization.
Advanced Analytical & Conceptual thinking, organizational skills, results oriented and proactive.
Ability to quickly learn and understand data from multiple sources.
