Position Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day procurement activities supporting ERock's manufacturing operations. This role manages the Procurement Specialists and Buyers supporting ERT500 production and is accountable for supplier execution, purchase order management, material availability, and procurement process discipline. Working closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics, the Procurement Manager ensures materials are available to support production schedules while continuously improving supplier performance, procurement processes, and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Vice President of Procurement.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily procurement activities supporting ERT500 manufacturing operations.
  • Manage Procurement Specialists and Buyers, balancing workload, priorities, and performance.
  • Ensure purchase requisitions are converted into accurate purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Review supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms within delegated authority.
  • Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead supplier recovery efforts for late deliveries, shortages, and delivery risks.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key metrics including on-time delivery, promise date accuracy, quality, lead time, and responsiveness.
  • Conduct supplier business reviews and develop corrective action plans where required.
  • Partner with Planning and Manufacturing to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
  • Lead material shortage reviews and coordinate cross-functional resolution activities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering on engineering changes, new product introductions, and supplier implementation activities.
  • Support production schedule changes through supplier communication and expediting.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve procurement policies, standard operating procedures, and Business Central processes.
  • Ensure purchasing documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Develop procurement dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting.
  • Work with Quality, Finance, Legal, and Logistics to resolve supplier, commercial, and operational issues.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop procurement team members through regular feedback and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, supplier performance, and scalability.
  • Escalate critical supplier risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Procurement.

Requirements

 Basic (Required) Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of procurement or supply chain experience.
  • 3+ years of procurement leadership experience.
  • Manufacturing procurement experience.
  • Experience negotiating supplier agreements.
  • ERP experience (Business Central preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS/ASCM, CPSM, or CPM certification.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in high-growth manufacturing environments.
