In line with this vision, Villeroy & Boch has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement Team in Armitage, UK. This includes identification, development, follow up and implement process improvements connected to the strategy of Villeroy & Boch.
The Procurement Manager reports to the Director of Procurement Operations, and is connected to the UK Procurement Team, who will provide methodological support.
Besides your local role in UK, where you have support of local procurement professionals, you will act in support of the Group Direct and Indirect Procurement Category Managers covering the complete Portfolio of Ideal Standard at country level: Direct (Ceramic Raw Materials, Fixations) and Indirect (Marketing, Travel, Fleet, MRO, Technical Services, Facility Management, IT, Professional Services, HR, Packaging and Logistics)

Main responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day supply of goods/services
- Responsible for ensuring planning and contract terms are correctly translated into POs – compliance accountable
- Responsible for ensuring goods/services are delivered on time, in right quantity and quality
- Responsible for ensuring correct execution of required changes to issued POs
- Resolve day-to-day supplier issues
- Responsible for resolving QCD issues with suppliers
- Serious supplier issues need to be escalated to the Spend Group Manager in the European Sourcing team
- Support contract management administration
- Add or remove suppliers in agreement with relevant category managers
- Saving Management
- Build, maintain and own the UK saving plan together with the appropriate category managers
- Analyse spend and identify opportunities
- Conduct RFI/RFQ where needed
- Implement in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Category Managers.
- Participate in European saving projects under the central team leadership.
- Attend weekly and/or bi-weekly calls/reviews with the Group Category Managers to discuss progress on projects and savings, and to align on new identified projects with the local stakeholders.
- Reporting: update saving/inflation figures for the UK on a monthly basis
- Relationship management
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at the sites and acquire knowledge of the business needs to ensure that applied purchasing solutions meet the site’s operational requirements.
- Maintain and, where required, improve the cooperation and relation with suppliers in order to provide the best balance delay/quality/costs.
- Ensure an objective sourcing process, in line with Ideal Standard Group Procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage, coach and develop direct reports based in Armitage.
Your Profile
- 5 years minimum Procurement experience in an international environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Born negotiator with a strong business sense.
- Flexible, stress-resistant, result driven and hands-on mentality.
- Ability to work independently.
- Highly developed organizational skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and taking a broad perspective to identify solutions.
- Work precisely according to procedures, rules and regulations.

- High degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and SAP) with excellent written and oral communication skills; proven communication skills with ability to work across all levels in an organisation.
- Successful understanding of business and contract law.
- Able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity, being able to perform structured and clear PowerPoint presentations.
- Takes ownership and can autonomously drive initiatives.
