Job PurposeTo liaise with stake holders to develop and implement category plan and strategic sourcing.
To handle company procurement requests following the defined strategic sourcing to ensure the best values are delivered to the Company and risks to the Company are minimized /mitigated through effective contractual and service level agreement, whilst achieving cost savings (cost avoidance and cost reduction) for Prudential.
To drive responsible sourcing for Prudential and locally implement sustainability program in line with Group strategies.Job Responsibilities Key job responsibilities assigned to this position are:
- Develop category plan and partner with the business stakeholders to understand sourcing needs
- Highlight purchasing trends and analyze spend to management for action to be taken through new principal sourcing plans; Ensure strategic sourcing implemented;
- Establish and drive cost saving targets. Control spend and build up a culture of long-term savings for third party spend;
- Provide optimum sourcing strategy to deliver the most valuable and righteous goods and services and beyond the corporate standards
- Act as Procurement Business Partner to support business in awareness and compliance to procurement policies and procedures, third party risk governance;
- Identify new vendors as necessary and determine the optimal set of providers for goods and services;
- Manage daily operations related to in-charged categories, system process, document retention and procure-to-pay issues.
- Initiate and implement ESG programs under Sustainability strategies from Group or from BOD
- Manage stakeholders to drive sustainable and responsible sourcing for the company;
- Perform other tasks as appropriate within competence as assigned by Line Manager/ Head of Procurement or Company’s management.
- Manage to achieve the set objectives, esp. in cost efficiency and value added to business;
- Develop and implement category management plan and strategic sourcing
- Collaborate spend governance with business stakeholders
- Ensure the projects are delivered with the agreed quality on a timely manner
- Ensure all the works are strictly complied with Company’s procedures & regulation
- Partner with regional / global procurement team in big projects.
- Develop and execute Sustainability of Procurement individually and Prudential generally following to local and global strategies.
- Procurement and Supply chain with best practices and worldwide standards.
- Broad and deep technical knowledge of commodity and product including specification, market trends and supply base, especially for Promotional items, HR services, Professional services.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree (Law, Commerce, Economics, Foreign Trade, Finance)
- At least 3 years' independent procurement or business partner experience
- Knowledge of procurement and supply chain best practices and worldwide standards
- Broad commodity and product knowledge, market trends and supplier base (promotional items, HR services, professional services)
- Strong leadership capabilities and ability to lead special assignments
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and business writing in English)
- Interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally
- Good understanding of procurement tools, processes and procure-to-pay
- Knowledge of economics, law, supply chain, procurement, logistics, finance, insurance
- Contract management and vendor performance management skills
- Understanding of ESG and ability to implement sustainability programs
- Proficient computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint
- Degree in supply chain management or international procurement/supply chain certification
- Prior experience with procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Coupa)
- Prior procurement experience in financial industry or multinational companies
- Proven background in Sustainability, ESG initiatives, or Kaizen
- Risk management and financial/legal aspects knowledge
- Familiarity with ethics policies and third-party risk governance
