Reporting to the Director of Procurement You'll build a category strategy for Protein or services following approved buying programs using the established procurement policy at a competitive price. You'll provide internal customers with sourcing strategies, a world-class supply base, guide cost savings and maintain the level of service provided to the corporation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage categories as assigned.
- Jointly plan and implement sourcing strategies in the assigned categories in collaboration with functions across the Enterprise.
- Establish strategic relationships with the supply base, to deliver cost savings opportunities across the business.
- Negotiate, contract, and implement preferred supplier agreements.
- Lead cross functional teams in sourcing initiatives.
- Research market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spend to enhance future negotiations for assigned categories.
- Provide clear position reporting. Facilitate ease of use and consistent application of volume estimates.
- Draft Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and conduct associated analysis.
- Assure the service and quality requirements of Conagra Brands are met, along with the required innovation and product improvements.
- Work with Operations and Brands to resolve all supply chain issues.
- Resolve supplier and internal customer issues to insure a successful implementation process.
- Improve cost savings through continuous improvement activities.
- Manage supplier relationships and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to evaluate and report performance.
- Ensure continuity of services for assigned categories by working with high quality suppliers and managing supplier performance.
- Collaborate with cross functional groups in each of the operating groups.
- Understand advanced sourcing practices and their application. Provide organizational leadership in developing innovative approaches to new technology.
- Develop and maintain positive, productive, proactive relationships with several suppliers and operating company personnel.
- Implement supplier strategy using industry modeling and appropriate metrics across Conagra Brands.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7 years + experience in Procurement or related field
- Experience with procurement/strategic sourcing end-user expectations and requirements
- Food Industry experience desirable
- Experience implementing/executing cross functional, complex projects, driving from start to finish
- Material forecasting, supply/demand analysis
- Experience with – SAP, Right Angle, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- In the Omaha office 3 days per week, Tuesday - Thursday
- Approximately 10 - 20% travel
Compensation
Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
