Role Purpose
The NW Europe Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring that key deliverables in Apeldoorn and Rastede sites are met, including on-time delivery, competitive cost pricing, and excellent product quality. This role focuses on achieving KPIs related to MPV, cash flow, sustainability, and ENPS. It includes leading procurement activities, defining sourcing strategies aligned with group commodity strategies, and fostering a collaborative, “One Team” approach to internal and external stakeholder management.
This position is pivotal in shaping procurement strategy and ensuring alignment with the organization’s overarching objectives, sustainability targets, and operational efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the NW procurement team, delivering against KPIs (eg MPV, Cash, Sustainability, ENPS, local site budget,) for indirect and direct procurement. Manages performance reporting with Finance Business Partners at the sites and group level.

Take ownership of all Procurement activity within the region and support the BDU development accordingly (in close cooperation with Procurement Managers in the BDU’s, Commodity Management, Product Management, Quality and R&D)

Define and implement the sourcing strategy for the region in close cooperation with Commodity Manager, R&D, Product Management.

Supplier selection in accordance with Group Strategy and preferred supplier list and in agreement with Procurement Commodity Management Team, strictly adhere to group processes.

Works with the Commodity Management Team to:

Ensure 100% contract coverage by 2025

Ensure min score of 56 on Ecovadis sustainability metric by 2025

Work with Commodity and Tactical Procurement teams to ensure alignment with Commodity Strategies

Identifies problems and finds solutions, eg works to improve processes for the group by liasing with the Procurement Excellence Manager and providing feedback.
Qualifications

Proven experience in procurement management, preferably within a multinational environment leading a large team.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or additional professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM or Nevi1 and Nevi2) is a plus.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement.
