Job Responsibilities
- Program Development: Establish the company’s procurement program; conduct assessment and analysis, and define structure, procedures and standard practices
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost; ensure supplier performance and quality ratings
- Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure favorable deals
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency, including analyzing spend data; ensure cost savings
- Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to prevent supply shortages and logistics delays; manage purchase order cycle times
- Compliance and Reporting: Manage compliance with company policies and legal regulations; track and analyze inventory turnover rates
- Team Leadership: Supervising the procurement department and coordinating with internal departments like finance and operations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is preferred
- 3+ years of proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles
- Must be proficient in ERP software (e.g., Sage, SAP Ariba, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Must possess strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills
