KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Category Management
- Benchmark and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive rates and favourable contract terms.
- Implement category strategies in line with SCM objectives.
- Drive early strategic sourcing involvement during project planning stages.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives and cross-functional efficiency projects.
- Review category budgets regularly and support annual budget preparation.
Supplier & Contract Management
- Initiate and coordinate contract drafting with Legal.
- Manage supplier negotiations to ensure value, service quality, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct vendor due diligence, supplier assessment visits, and contract performance reviews.
- Implement supplier performance scorecards and KPIs (SPM & SRM).
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Support logistics coordination including planning and scheduling across subsidiaries.
- Maintain an efficient supply chain aligned with business and client requirements.
- Provide procurement and supply chain expertise to the organization.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and statutory requirements.
- Support tender development, data gathering, and analysis of customer requirements.
- Engage stakeholders on sourcing strategies and procurement project plans.
Implement centralized procurement policies and procedures for cost efficiency.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics
- Minimum 4 years in a managerial role within a commercial environment (manufacturing, telecom/tech, or FMCG preferred).
- CIPS or CILT qualification highly preferred.
- MBA or related advanced degree is an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with import/export processes and customs clearance.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing capability.
- Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel (pivot tables/charts), and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience developing and executing procurement strategies with measurable savings.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and sound decision-making ability.
- Experience working cross‑functionally and managing vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and cost-saving methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and networking skills.
- Demonstrated confidentiality and high ethical standards.
